Pattern.
The only time I ever listen to Relient K anymore is when I don’t feel like listening to my regular music. I don’t even know why, because their lyrics are whack as fuck and they basically use the same progressions in every single song.

I slightly modified my "info" section.
I started this tumblr 10 months ago (…and am nearing 1000 posts whut) and it’s interesting to see how much I’ve changed, in terms of what I felt I had to express back then versus what I feel is important now.

Well this explains the army thing. →
“Leave Hosni, you, your son and your corrupted party!” declared the graffiti on one tank as soldiers invited demonstrators to climb aboard and have their photographs taken with them. “This is the revolution of all the people,” declared the side of a second tank in downtown Cairo. Egyptian men all serve in the army, giving it a very different relationship to the people from that of the ...

“The Egyptian army said it had been able to secure the neighbouring museum of antiquities from the threat of fire and looting, averting the possible loss of thousands of priceless artefacts.” So I take it the Egyptian military is not controlled by the government, given that they are not fighting back against the civilians or supporting the police in any way. But I find it kind of...

Study for my exam tomorrow, or scrub the shit out of my bath tub and put my neurosis to the ultimate test and see if I can have a bath? Study for the exam consisting of 2 small essays, 1 long essay, and a bunch of multiple choice/short answer that will make or break whether I get a 90%, oooooooor spend 20-30 minutes scrubbing the shit out of my bath tub to have a hot bath and make my heart slow...

Old news, but still important, and still baffling to look at the numbers. This is a great article for doing just such. The New Democrats, seeing what the Conservatives are willing to fork over for security, are calling on Canada to put $1.4 billion over five years into foreign aid directed at maternal health, as requested by the international Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child...

Herbert Spencer first used the phrase – after reading Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species – in his Principles of Biology (1864), in which he drew parallels between his own economic theories and Darwin’s biological ones, writing, “This survival of the fittest, which I have here sought to express in mechanical terms, is that which Mr. Darwin has called ‘natural...

Why wait until the days leading up to the exam? Ugh. Lesson learned.)

On Aug. 2, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association and the Department of the Interior released a study that attempted to account for the nearly five million barrels of oil that had been released into the Gulf over a period of more than 100 days. It suggested that 25 per cent of the crude had been mopped up by ships or lit on fire. Another 25 per cent is believed to have simply...

For a blissful 30 minutes or so
I got a shitload done. Except none of it was homework related. Which makes it feel like time wasted :( I now have a budget spreadsheet set up again though in preparation for February kicking my ass, and I’ve put away some of the shit making my living room chaotic. (I also did dishes, organized my medication, dealt with all the receipts laying around my house, moved my bills from being...
